Comb-Back Rocker

This chair is a rocker version of my Comb Back. It features carved knuckles and volute carved ears. The arm rail is built up in the center which makes the back a little sturdier. The spindles are hand shaved with a gentle swell between the arm rail and seat deck. The legs, stretchers and arm posts are hand split and turned.

This chair has a light black stain over barn red milk paint, and thus it reads as a red chair. You can see this on the carved knuckles. The long hand shaved spindles flex, allowing the sitter to fully relax and rest their head on the steam bent crest rail. $1,700
